Universe Image Processing

About Emanya: Emanya is in 2nd grade at Indian Trail Elementary School, North Carolina.
Emanya is a fun loving girl who loves to talk. Her hobbies include reading, drawing, singing and playing piano, the latest being chess. She sings at the children choir at church. She loves to play soccer and basketball at Champ sports. She also loved doing musical theatre, acting and vocal classes at her dance school. She loves to learn, math and science are her favorite subjects. Space fascinates her.
When she grows up, she wants to be the president of the United States.

I took a night sky image from a telescope and turned it into a cooler picture: this is called image processing. The images we obtain from the night sky are often just a bunch of bright dots, but they are not the only things that are present in that image. We can use 3 color imaging processes to reveal the hidden stars, galaxy and other celestial bodies in an image. I enjoy this activity the most and I do it regularly. I have also learnt the different stages of a star and I know to identify them.
